This position involves assisting in an assigned dining services area on a full-time basis (37.5 hours per week), contributing to a positive and efficient dining experience. The individual will play an important role in maintaining high standards of service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the smooth operation of the dining environment. Food service or cooking experience is preferred but not required.
Available Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Tuesday–Thursday, 1:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m., and Friday–Saturday, 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. This position qualifies for a shift differential.
Analyze, diagnose, and make necessary repairs to all College HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Report problems, as they occur, to the shift manager. This position will be required to work during delays and snow closure days that may fall on scheduled workdays. Will be required to work overtime on short notice to include evenings, weekends, special events and call ins at the discretion of the appropriate supervisor. Additionally, may occasionally be required to drive out-of-area. Work hours are determined by the College and are subject to change, academic year and summer hours are established to meet the needs of the department and the College. Will be required to be on a rotational on call schedule.

Perform general housekeeping/custodial duties primarily in the Capital Eatery. This position may be required to work during delays and snow closure days that may fall on scheduled workdays. Will be required to work overtime on short notice to include evenings, weekends, special events and call ins at the discretion of the appropriate supervisor. Additional hours with little or no prior notice may be required.
Schedule: Friday and Saturday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. with 1 hour lunch, Sunday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. with 1 hour lunch. Schedules may differ dependent upon time of year.
The Toolroom Attendant will be responsible for Machine Shop toolroom coverage during the evening hours. This individual dispenses and collects tools, equipment, and supplies.
Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Assist the Head Cook and/or Dining Service Manager with the preparation of food/menu items and comply with all safety and sanitation procedures relevant to the food service industry and Dining Service department.
The schedule is Sunday through Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with Friday and Saturday off.

This person will assist the Dining Service Purchasing Agent with receipt and verification of deliveries, storage of such items, and routine daily pulls of inventory items. This person may also assist with food preparation and service, cooking, and/or general housekeeping functions. May be required to work snow days.

Following general supervision, this person will assist in the daily monitoring and maintenance of the Dr. Welch Workshop, a Makerspace at Penn College.
