Education:
-High School Diploma or equivalent. (Desired)
-If a student, must maintain a 2.0 or higher grade point average. (Minimum)
Experience:
-Must possess a current EMT Certification for the state of Pennsylvania OR be a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). (Minimum)
-Maintain required certification or licensing as required by the licensing/certifying board. (Minimum)
-One (1) year experience working in an office setting. (Minimum) -One (1) year as an active EMT, CNA, LPN, or CMA. (Desired)

-Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. (Minimum)
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. (Minimum)
-Ability to work on own initiative. (Minimum)
-Ability to work with students with diverse backgrounds and needs. (Minimum)
-Must be willing and able to attend training as requested. (Minimum)
-Determines nature and extent of illness or injury. (Minimum)
-Ability to communicate verbally; via telephone. (Minimum)
-Ability to interpret written, oral and diagnostic form instructions. (Minimum)
-Ability to use good judgment and remain calm in high stress situations. (Minimum)
-Ability to read English language manuals. (Minimum)
-Ability to interview patient, family members and bystanders. (Minimum)
-Ability to document, in writing, all relevant information in a prescribed format in light of legal ramifications. (Minimum)
-Ability to converse in English with coworkers and ambulance personnel as to status of patient. (Minimum)
-Certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Professional (Minimum)
-Possession of a valid driver’s license. (Desired). Candidates possessing a valid driver’s license may be required to drive a College vehicle on or about campus in performing the functions of the position. Those candidates possessing a valid driver’s license would be subject to a background check and motor vehicle report.
